We want everyone to be able to use Kendall Home Finder, regardless of ability. We're committed to building an accessible site and fixing barriers when we find them.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is the industry standard for accessible web design. We're not perfect—accessibility is ongoing work—but we're committed to the goal.
Semantic HTML: All headings, links, and form fields use proper HTML tags so screen readers understand the page structure.
Keyboard navigation: You can navigate the entire site using the Tab key. All buttons and links are reachable by keyboard.
Descriptive alt text: Every image has a text description so screen reader users know what they're looking at.
Color contrast: Body text and interactive controls meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, even in light mode.
Form labels: Every input field has a visible, associated label so you know what each field is for.
Motion respect: The site respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting in your device. If you've asked your browser or OS to reduce animations, this site will honor that.
Focus visibility: When you tab through the site, you'll see a clear focus outline on the active element.
MLS listing photos: The photo feed from Bridge MLS sometimes arrives without descriptions. When that happens, we use the listing address as fallback alt text. We're working with our MLS provider to improve this.
Map limitations: Our interactive map (built with Leaflet) has limited screen-reader support, which is a known limitation of the technology. We provide all map data in the listing list below the map so you can still access everything.
